DIY Bass Drum Painting

I was looking for a cheap way to customize my bass drum and finally I did it with a stencil and a paint marker. Here goes the steps if you want to do it. Let me know if you need help.

What You Need?

A printer
A computer with a text editor like Open Office or Note Pad
A paint marker. I used Edding 751(between $3 and $7) - Posca won't work on this type of drum skin
A knife standard precision (around $3)
Tape

Print the name
First you need to choose a font to make your stencil. In this case I downloaded "boston-traffic.tiff" from this web : http://www.fontsquirrel.com/ .

Then use a text editor to print the name in the size you want.

2
Try it in the bass drum to check size and position

3
Cut the sheet of paper with the precision knife

4
Use the tape  to place your stick the paper to the skin

5
Trace the letters

6
Place the second paper and same thing

7
Done!

If you need help or want to comment, feel free. Hope it will help!
